Title: Lead Analyst - Dispatch & ECC (ASC 48661) Binghamton NY or Rochester NY Key Job Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY: Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships: Provides technical support and leadership to the staff responsible for operating the Company electric transmission and distribution systems and/or after-hours customer service and/or electric and gas emergency and/or trouble dispatching activities. Reviews, schedules, and coordinates electric facility outage applications and oversees switching to ensures system security and reliability. MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities): 1. Interpret additions and revisions to electric system configuration and/or line switching and/or modify System Operating diagrams and tie line rating sheets accordingly. Monitor and analyze various EMS and recorded information to ensure proper scheduling of equipments outages that effect system.(25%, P) 2. Initiate and manage technical projects related to Transmission Operations activities, including budget development and cost tracking. (25%, P) 3. Provides guidance and ensures compliance with appropriate regulations and procedures. Participates in the development and may provide training regarding policies and procedure.(20%, S) 4. Manage Trouble/Outage Management System activity including storm restoration efforts, system enhancements and modifications, and support and training.(20%, S) 5. May Maintain department recording equipment and associated communication equipment including telephone and radio systems used in control center operations and back-up facilities.(10%, S) Additional Information: JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Required: Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required. Knowledge of electrical theory. Good knowledge of trouble/outage management systems. Working knowledge of computer applications and communications equipment. Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies. Skills/Abilities: Good interpersonal and communications skills. Results orientation. Proactive orientation. Able to make decisions under pressure.
