About Binghamton University:
The state of New York has provided $60 million to establish a School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Binghamton University. The school will be housed in a new, state-of-the-art, 86,000 sq. ft. dedicated research and education building within the new Health Sciences and Technology Innovation Park. The new school will develop outstanding leaders in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, who use contemporary medication management and innovative research in order to transform human health locally and globally. The research and clinically focused school will train the next generations of graduates to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered pharmaceutical care to diverse groups of patients, especially those who are in under-served rural and geriatric communities.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Binghamton University invites applications for a two-year, full-time, academic year, renewable, Lecturer appointment to contribute to teaching in areas such as: Pathophysiology and Pharmacology (cardiac, pulmonary, renal and/or endocrine), Genetics/Pharmacogenomics, and Immunology/Medical Microbiology.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Teach didactic and laboratory components of pharmaceutical sciences in the PharmD program.
Participate in graduate-level coursework in a Ph.D. program within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence by participating in student assessment activities.
Teach courses in one or more of the following areas: Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, Genetics/Pharmacogenomics, and Immunology/Medical Microbiology.
Engage in the administration, supervision, training and guidance of graduate teaching assistants and such other personnel as may be required in the Department's Programs.
Work collaboratively with faculty course instructors for continuing operation and improvement of the teaching program.
Design and implement effective teaching/learning processes.
Participate in and contribute to education workshops and conferences.
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a field related to Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Microbiology/Immunology, or Genetics/Genomics. Applicants should have University-level teaching experience in didactic and/or laboratory coursework.
