Senior Research Technician - Pharmaceutical Sciences - We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and experienced Research Technician III to work in a muscle biology and disease laboratory at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Binghamton University.
The applicant filling this position should have a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience or an MS degree with a minimum of 5 years of experiences. Preference will be given to applicants with extensive experience in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, and/or Genetics. Two or more years of general lab experience in a senior/supervisory role is expected. The successful candidate will supervise and train junior personnel, perform a variety of laboratory procedures including cell culture, laboratory animal maintenance and experimentation, PCR, DNA and protein gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, cryosectioning, microscopy, and image processing/analysis. Assistance with laboratory safety, equipment maintenance, and ordering is also expected. The successful candidate is expected to be able to manage a project, self-task, generate figures for publication, and assist in writing/editing manuscripts.

Requirements -
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience or Master degree with a minimum of 5 years of experiences preferred in related field.
Ability to perform, train and supervise in basic laboratory techniques.
Ability to perform highly specialized laboratory techniques with precision and reliability.
Ability to design laboratory protocols and experiments.
Good organizational and communication skills.
