United Health Services Medical Office Assistant in Vestal, New York
Performs any combination of following duties under direction of physician to assist in examination and treatment of patients, interviews patients, measures vital signs, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists physician with patients as directed. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials as needed. Schedules appointments, accepts co-pays from visiting patients, performs secretarial tasks, and completes insurance forms as needed. May key data into computer to maintain office and patient records. Minimum requirements are high school diploma and graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program. Must be eligible to take the AAMA certification exam or have a minimum of two (2) years experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant.
